Dubbed as “The most mysterious song on the Internet”, “Blind the Wind” became infamous simply because next to nothing is known about it. It’s so unknown, even song identifiers such as Shazam or the Genius song identifier don’t recognize it. The song is believed to be first posted on the Internet on March 18, 2007, to a website called The Spirit of Radio by a user known as “bluuue” or Anton Riedel. In the post, Anton said the following: Recorded it 82-84 from a german radio station. Looking for singer since then :-) According to the metadata of the original recording, the song was recorded in 1984. The Reddit user /u/gabgaskins spread this song across the Internet in hopes of finding an answer to the mystery that has been questioned for over a decade. As of 2019, there has been no conclusion. However, due to the popularity given to the song by the YouTuber Whang!, this song’s full version has been found. It was discovered on July 12th, 2019 by Reddit user u/johnnymetoo. Since the full song has been released, many people in the official discord server have been searching for all possible leads and ways to find the original band and country this song originates from. During this search, many other lost songs and bands have been found and have since been preserved.
