The Velvicks, like all the best rock and roll stories of the early 21st century can be traced back to abasement, but even further back to a kid in his bedroom with his guitar a bit further away in Brazil. With influences from Pink Floyd, Queens of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys and Radiohead, the band delivers heart pounding rock that is at once familiar and distinctive. The sounds of the band members individual experiences combined with a shared passion for authentic rock and roll. “Songs are making sense; the band is delivering badass live performances and people are responding to it.” says Vick Nader - After over two years of bringing their distinctive brand of rock music to venues such as Rough Trade, National Sawdust, Surf Lodge and Gramercy Theater in New York as well as a West Coast tour under their belts, the band entered the studio and are preparing to release their debut EP “Run” in spring of 2020 with more performances and touring to follow.
