After playing nearly forty gigs in their first twelve months on the scene, the Vaudevillains have proved themselves as an exciting, energetic, passionate and original sounding band. Don’t be fooled by the double bass and the hollowbody guitar- the Vaudevilllains are not just another traditional rockabilly band and can certainly separate themselves from any past or current Australian acts. With their strong musical foundations, dedication to their instruments and original writing, they strive for every song to have a twist, often giving the songs a haunting feel. With Jim Morris (Double bass and Backing vocals) and Adrian Whyte (Lead guitar and Vocals) having met in a full time jazz course, music enthusiasts are often quite excited by what they hear. But it doesn’t take a trained ear to enjoy the Vaudevillains- every song is as catchy and exciting as the next. Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country, Punk, Roots and more all rolled into one and belted by a three piece band with no member older than twenty, years old makes for an interesting and exciting experience. The younger brother of Jim on drums, Michael Morris, has grown from a garage drummer to a seasoned live performer, not only learning the ropes as the back bone of the band, but giving his own exciting flare to every performance.
