There are currently two musical groups called The Uprising Band. One is a Jamaica-based reggae group. The other is an Indiana-based Christian rock band. The Uprising Band from Columbus, Indiana, plays contemporary worship/praise/rock'n'roll with a myriad of subtle punk, metal, and classic rock influences. The band officially came together in 2008, though the band's concept developed over the two previous years. The Uprising Band's first full-length release, titled "Until This," was independently released in 2009.
