There are several bands with this name: 1. Metal band from Essex, UK The Unrest on MySpace The Unrest on Facebook The Unrest on ReverbNation Buy The Unrest Demo Formed in late 2007, The Unrest was born from the jamming sessions between drummer Soroush Majd and guitarist Steve Davey. Joined by second guitarist Steve Gregory and bassist Dave Nelson in 2008 the sessions gained further momentum. New songs were composed, and the old songs constantly improved over the coming months. The band auditioned several vocalists, eventually being joined by Nick Munro in early 2009. After a few local gigs in late 2009 the band began work on their self-titled demo. Unfortunately they parted ways with Steve Davey during the recording sessions, although the demo was finished and began to be distributed by the remaining members in early 2010. The Unrest has now been joined by guitarist Darren White, once again reinforcing the lineup. Currently writing new material, the band is set to return to the live scene with their punishing brand of metal later this year. 2.
