The Toxic Femmes are an Alternative / Electronic / Rock Band based in New York City. The band was started by Australian drummer / songwriter Wilma Kaddissi. She met lead singer / songwriter and fellow Australian, Eve Wheeler and they began co-writing. In New York City, bass player / songwriter Tito and guitarist / songwriter Mike, both Americans, completed the band line-up in 2012. The Toxic Femmes have been performing locally throughout New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area. In October 2014 the band were chosen and performed at both the CBGB Music & Film Festival & the CMJ Music Festival in New York. They also played at the 2nd Annual Westchester Tattoo Convention as a featured opening act for the Suicide Girls Blackheart Burlesque Show. The Toxic Femmes released their self titled debut EP on March 31, 2013, available on iTunes and Amazon. They were the support band for the world renowned Misfits, with Saint Caine, at the Westchester County Tattoo Convention on September 28, 2013. They were awarded this opportunity by winning the Battle of The Bands held at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre, presented by The Zedalza Broadcast Network & Garcia’s on September 9, 2013. The band released their new title track single and music video for ‘Hurt Me’ on April 22, 2014. Their second EP, Hurt Me, was released October 1st, 2014. They are currently working on their first full length album and plan to tour nationally and internationally in support of this release. Use
