Since playing their first show in February 2008, The Threatened have shared the stage with some of the best acts in the country, gained new fans at every show, and have seen their music appear in films and television. Stay the Course, released in October 2010, absolutely lives up to its name by maintaining The Threatened’s trademark hard rock sound and unwaveringly solid execution. Recorded earlier in the year at Evergroove Studios in Evergreen, Colorado, the album combines wide-ranging influences from Kiss and Dream Theater to Tool and Alice and Chains. The powerful melodies from Justin Conant (vocals) glide over the rhythm section of Brad Smalling (bass) and John Pauly (drums) and blend with the shredding guitar lines by Scott Cornella (guitars) to create a signature sound that permeates through each of the seven cuts on Stay the Course. Like a hammer dropping from the sky, The Threatened’s live show is an aural attack that has something to satisfy every music fan. The band has taken their show across Colorado and won fans by engaging the audience in the experience . They have shared the stage with heavyweight legends like Black and Blue and Slaughter and were voted one of KBPI’s 2009 Best Bands in Denver. The band’s music has been featured in other medium, as well. Their song “End of the Road” appeared in a 2010 film of the same name and “I Am” is slated to appear in summer 2011 feature film“Scream-Play”.
