There is more than one artist with this name, including: 1) a British acapella folk quartet; 2) an American indie-pop band from Racine, WI, that adopted a new name, Por Avion. 1) The Teacups is a British acapella folk quartet formed by Alex Cumming , Kate Locksley , Rosie Calvert and Will Finn that has proved popular across the UK festival circuit with performances at Shepley Spring Festival, Beverley Folk Festival, Warwick Folk Festival, Sidmouth Folk Week, Whitby Folk Week and many more. Their debut album, 'One For The Pot' explores traditional and contemporary songs from all over the British Isles and beyond. Their second album, 'Of Labour & Love' contains new and original compositions as well as murder ballads, exotic shanties and traditional songs of love and loss. 2) The Teacups was an American indie-pop band from Racine, WI. Formed in the summer of 1997 by singer/guitarist Stephen Baraboo and singer/bassist Melissa Kozlik, originally as an acoustic duo, the line-up soon expanded to a three-piece with the addition of drummer Aaron Vold. The band issued its debut EP From Zero...To Infinity on Kindercore. The full-length This Will Come Back to Haunt You appeared in mid-1998. In 1999, the trio adopted a new name, Por Avion.
