The Szuters were active from 1995-2001, before changing their lineup and sound, re-forming as Magna-Fi until 2010. It is a common misconception that these two bands are one and the same. While they do share some band members, The Szuters' brand of pop rock differs significantly from the hard rock direction Magna-Fi would take. The Szuters name was revived and the album Sugar released in 2020. However, this album is Mike Szuter's creation solely (barring a few instrumentalists being featured throughout), as he is the only remaining member of the band.
