about

The Swearengens are alt.country band which formed in 2011 in Seattle, WA. he band comprises vocalist Fredd Luongo, lead guitarist Soren Godbersen, bassist Kirsten Ballweg, backing vocalist Nicole Clare, and drummer Jeff Baars. From epic road songs to tear-stained tales of heartache, Texas-style rockers to dark-humored murder ballads, The Swearengens cover a lot of musical and emotional territory. This six-piece reminiscent of their alt-country forefathers Whiskeytown, The Jayhawks, Dwight Yoakam, Uncle Tupelo, and Steve Earle, inject just enough rock to keep things dangerous. This ain’t new country background music for cubicles and wine tastings, these are memorable songs filled with honesty and passion. Their debut release “Devil Gets Her Way” was named one of “Seattle’s Top Country Albums of 2012″ by the Seattle Weekly. Combined with their raucous live performances and a dedicated following of hard-drinking two-steppers behind them, if you haven’t had a great time at a Swearengens show, then you haven’t been out to one yet.
