A quartet originating in Eugene, Oregon in the mid-1980s, The Surf Trio's first lineup included Ron Kleim (Guitar) , Dave Meyer (bass), Pete Weinberger (guitar), Aaron Temple (drums). Later drummers included Terrence Kerrigan, Tim Erickson, Chuck Thompson and Mark Pedersen . C.J. Cettina was the second guitarist from the mid-1990s until the band's demise in the early 2000s. All members provided vocals. Most of The Surf Trio's repertoire was original surf, punk rock and punk / pop. After an EP release on MOXIE RECORDS in 1985 , the LP "Almost Summer" was released by Voxx records in 1986 (produced by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz). The Trio did two European tours (1994 and 1997) and they recorded several more LPs and singles including lot's of material for The Learning Channel's "Neat Stuff" show. During the later years, members of the band also performed in costume as The Romanes, a Ramones tribute band.
