Explosive and Beautiful. Romantic and Churning. Crushing and Compelling. All define The Suicide Chords. The Suicide Chords are Romance Metal. This four-piece powerhouse is comprised of incomparably dedicated and seasoned musicians, writing and playing the best music they have ever been a part of creating. The group formed out of two bands that played many San Diego shows together over the last decade. Jay Edwards (vox) and Jai Luna (guitar), from Born Tonight, create an epic sound of elaborate and intricate chords and soaring, intense vocals. Clay Hackett (drums) and Dylan Wills (bass), from Take Over Turn, build a complex rhythmical and powerful grooving back bone. The four combined these talents to become The Suicide Chords. The band has headlined at the world-famous Roxy, opened for national acts at House of Blues, and played a string of explosive shows at its unofficial home-base, The Ruby Room, in San Diego. The buzz is rising amidst the local music scene and beyond. In 2011, the release of The Wilshire EP proved successful with nearly all of the first-run discs distributed to fans. A full-length record is currently in production and will be released later this year. The stunning video for 'Be Careful What You Wish For' (filmed and edited by Ben Edwards of Los Angeles) was also released earlier this year and previously featured on the host venue's website.
