A defunct female 3-piece band from Vancouver.The Stunts were merciless yet melodic, powerful yet poppy, invoking pre-riot grrrl rock, shades of The Raincoats, the Slits. The Stunts were East Van’s indie-rock-dyke power trio. Dana A’s bass and vocals were the rhythmic, melodic and harmonic anchors of the band. Jax G held down the axe duties. Jackie S layed down hard-hitting beats. Stunts shows revelled in resistance, with punning lyrics, cunning pop-punk melodies, and stunning costumes.
