Artist
Formed in North London, United Kingdom, in 1986, the notorious The Studio 68! were Paul Moody (vocals, guitar), Simon Castell (drums), Patrick O' Sullivan (bass) and Rich Bradshaw (vocals, Hammond organ). They updated the mod-R&B of The Who and Small Faces in a way that pre-empted Britpop. They recorded demos in 1987, but by the time they released their proper début single 'Double Decker Bus' it was 1991. The single was followed by the Smash EP (1992). With the band's début album nearly finished... they then imploded in spectacular fashion. The 'lost' 1992 début album, Portobellohello, was finally unearthed and released in 2014 and much to everyone's surprise the band's original line-up reformed and started recording new music, releasing the album The Total Sound (2021) as well as the Back With The Boys E.P (2023).
