There is more than one artist that goes by this name: 1. A progressive rock/metal band from Canada. 2. A rock band from The Netherlands. 1. The Stream was a four-piece progressive rock/metal band formed in 2009 from Prince Edward Island, Canada. www.myspace.com/thestreampei Members: Bearnard Butler - vocals,guitar Alexi Laderoute - vocals,guitar Todd Boisvert - bass Stephen Madsen - drums After jamming on several different genres over the course of their high school years, Alexi Laderoute and Bearnard Butler began to search for band members to bring their ideas into a more concentrated form. After trying out several drummers & bass players, what started as a primarily Stoner/Sludge Metal project drastically changed with the entry of Stephen Madsen on drums, and Todd Boisvert on bass. Madsen being the most experienced; having played in bands in Colorado and Florida brought with him the tools that Butler and Laderoute needed to truly start composing the music they envisioned. All of this being held together by the low end, and artist eye of Boisvert 'The Stream' came to be. The name 'The Stream' comes from the concept that all music already exists in a pure form, we as humans use our bodies as vessels to tap into this and "ride the stream" of music.
