In unison resounds the lovely and melodious companionship of three master's level St. Louis School of Music teachers, whose love for the beloved music of the ocarina inspired the formation of the St. Louis Ocarina Trio in 2005. Together, this dynamic trio has been raising the eyebrows of those classical music fans (and fanatics) worldwide who love the effervescent charm of the ocarina. Since its inception, St. Louis Ocarina Trio has attracted the eyes and ears of listeners worldwide, with a richly distinctive sound based on an ancient musical instrument that dates back over 12,000 years. The ocarina has been found among artifacts in ancient China and among the Mayans and Aztecs of the Mesoamerican period, making it one of the first musical instruments known to mankind. The ocarina is the distinguishing sound behind the group. Each of these three group members brings a unique skill set, enabling the rapid and increasing popularity of the St. Louis Ocarina Trio within the genre of classical music. The trio has created five CDs to date, and have received award-winning accolades for their unique m�lange of music. Some of their songs have been used in movies, films and on radio shows, as well as group performances and concerts statewide. Followers on YouTube and multimedia sites have been increasing daily.
