The Square Lemons is a band formed in February 2008 in Huissen, The Netherlands. Three of the boys were allready together in school for a couple of years. Except for Merlijn. But he failed to make it to the 5th year. So he came in the same class as the rest. In February 2008 they found out that they all played an instrument. They came together on a tuesday afternoon and they played for a bit. At home they all studied their first song (Bohemian Like You by the Dandy Warhols) and a band was born. At first they didn't have mic's or something. But that changed soon enough, and they also bought a bass guitar and amp. They played several small gigs at their school, and some pubs. TSL started out as a cover band, an has been a cover band for a year, but right now they're busy writing their own material. Their repetoire consists of a lot of covers (Like Arctic Monkeys, Air Traffic, The Raconteurs, Jet and many more) and a couple of own song. More songs of their own are on it's way. In the end of 2009, joined a new member: Ruben van den Bosch. He plays the bass in the band. January 2010, they've released their first official demo: Cherry Pie and Ice Cream.
