The Spirits are the intangible band of the Sydney indie scene, a dark, ethereal sound with harmonizing guitars and crystal clear vocals. Eerie and emphatic with glimpses of hope, The Spirits inspire emotion. Their new single, The Other Half has been described as a shaft of light in a dark empty cave and is available as a free download from their Myspace. Front man Toby Fitch is complex, and only comfortable when absorbed by live performance. He is joined by his brother Dan Fitch playing his unique style of bass, James Hart on guitar and Luke Davison on drums. A sound so utterly unique, comparisons to other bands are too labeling and misdirected to mention, The Spirits are encapsulating both recorded and live. They will be releasing their EP ‘The Other Half’ 1st March, 2010 as a free download from www.thespirits.com.au and most media outlets.
