Formed in 1976 this punk/powerpop band had a the line up of - Robbie Watson - bass/vocals. Martin Finlay - guitar/vocals.Lol Gellor- drums. The band gigged London and Liverpool - releasing the collectable and brilliant ,'Disgrace' on the mascot lable. The boys needed another guitarist, so they auditioned and got,Ian 'Toose'Taylor who turned up to the audition(allegedley) with his mum. The band gigged the whole of Britain and then signed for Acrobat/Arista and made the legendary 'Day in the lights'Album. Lol had left by now and Steve Parry played drums on some of the tracks.Steve left halfway through the album to be replaced by former magazine drummer Paul'Doris' Spencer. Other notable musicians who played on the album were - Lee Dallon - keyboards - Tommy Ayre -Piano and Chris Gent -Sax. The band played Reading festival twice! Then sadly the record company folded, the band started argueing, then fighting, first with knives, then guns and then they split!Go to their Myspace http://www.myspace.com/speedometors to hear more of the legend and find out what the guys are doing now.The album still sounds outstanding and holds its own with most of the contemporary music scene. So download some tracks you wont be dissappointed.
