The Special Deliveries are a four slice band from Hilversum, The Netherlands. They mix all kinds of tasty flavours like reggae, ska, punk and surf with a little twist of funk. They love to grill it, mix it, shake it, stir it or heat it up and they top it off with fresh and positive lyrics and are now ready to serve! It all started in the long and hot summer of 2010. The weather was amazingly good and we all went swimming together and had many shrimps on the barbie-times. Lennard (Elway Designs) owns a small boat called the Baco Boat so we also were chilling on the water a lot! Coen (CRS Customs) owns a really awesome '64 VW bug and our other Koen with a K (Koens Customs) owns an old VW T3 campervan he uses for his surf trips. So we started sharing our passion for VW's and started cruising the VW's together. During these summer days we became really close friends. We somehow found out that Koen played drums and he told Ciske (ex-guitarist of the SunFireSouls and Tattoo artist at Tattooshop Hilversum) that he had a Ludwig drum kit in green sparkle with a 24" kick, 10" snare and Zildjian A Custom cymbals already set up in his own rehearsal studio. Koen told Ciske that he really loves the vintage sound of Fender Guitars & Amps. Ciske was like: "No way", that will work! He has always played Fender Tele's and also loves the sound of a Fender Twin Amp so that was a match already. Lennard has always enjoyed playing guitar and singing.
