Artist
Payong Mukda, born in the Ratchaburi Province of Thailand, led the Thai genre of music known as "shadow music" in the mid-1960s (referencing a UK band, "The Shadows"). Mukda also went by "Pocket Music" and later, "The Son of P. M." He was awarded with the prestigious "National Artist of Thailand" award in 1991. In February of 2010, Mukda died at the age of 84.
