There is more than one artist with this name, including: 1) The Snowmen was an American indie band from San Francisco band active from 1992-1999. The band was formed by Cole Marquis following the split of previous bands. 2) The Snowmen was an early 80s British holiday spoof band comprising Frosty, Blob, Lump and Norman according to Stiff Records. While it is suspected that it was Ian Dury and The Blockheads or Jona Lewie, the only musician known to be involved was session guitarist and singer Martin Kershaw. 3) The Snowmen a was group of American 1960s studio musicians from the Mark V Recording Studios in Greenville SC. They also recorded under the moniker "The Uptowners". They released two singles; "Sugar Daddy" was a 1965 regional hit in Atlanta.
