There are at least 6 bands with the name "The Slaves": 1) A contemporary experimental two piece by Barbara Kinzle and Birch Cooper from Portland, Oregon, with shoegazing, noise, drone, psychedelic, and pop influences. So far they have such releases as "The Aliens E.P."(Slave Records, 2009), "Grey Angel"(Slave Records, 2009 and Paradigms Recordings, 2011), "Ocean on Ocean" (Debacle Records, Slave Records, 2010) and "RUINS" (Wiseblood Media, 2010). Their most recent release is on Digitalis and is titled "Spirits Of The Sun". All PDX shows by "The Slaves" are attributed to them.
