The Skopitones is the result of the musical evolution of 7 musicians from different horizons who decided to unite their strengths to play a festive music and give a quality show. After the successful experience that was Les Rockeurs de Valves, winners of the Envol et Macadam contest in 2006, many of the band members expressed their desire to go back to the roots of Ska music. To do so, they let go off the aggressive Ska / Punk Rock for the more melodic and jazzy style of traditional Jamaican Ska. In the style of The Skatalites in the 60s, of The Slackers of the 90s. The Skopitones thus evolve at the heart of the current Ska Revival movement. Being fans of movies and television, we have a great time interpreting many musical themes coming from these visual media. On stage, 3 brass players (trumpet, trombone, saxophone) are driven by a solid rhythm section (guitar, bass, piano, drums).
