about

Founded in 2004 the purveyors of the “brickbeat” genre were rumoured to be a reformation of the legendary electronic innovators The AFL. Their union lasted for only a couple of months but produced the seminal tracks “Not Much” and “The Wilf Daddy”; the former cheekily swiping the piano riff from “Jamie and The Magic Torch” whilst the rather ruder “Wilf Daddy” channelled Roy Budd via Dr Dre. The duo then disappeared quietly from the scene, most likely into the duller confines of careers in Sales and/or Marketing, but leaving as their legacy a dyad of assuaged anthems.
