The Shadowcops are a punk rock ‘n’ roll band based in Manchester with members from Salford, Lancashire and Yately, Hampshire (UK). The band formed in late 2004, by founding members Nathan Mallon (guitars / vocals) and Steven Mackle (drums). They were shortly joined by Mike Avery (bass) and Mike Owen (guitars). Owen has since been replaced my another Mike; Mike Pollitt who shares joint lead vocals and guitars with Nathan. The band have recently released their debut album, ‘A Big Pot of Hot’ with the help of their friends and local Manchester based independent label, TNSrecords (CD) and through their own label Used Up Records (online). Their sound is predominantly focused on riffs, an energetic rhythm section and melodic choruses with such influences as Hüsker Dü, Therapy?, The Wildhearts, The Replacements, Queen, Dag Nasty, Quicksand, Kerbdog, Dead Kennedys, Living End and Hot Water Music.
