The SemiTones were founded in Brussels - Belgium , in December 1992. After exploring different musical styles, to find their own identity, the band releases a first album in 1994: "Body & Soul". It only partially reflected the musical aims of the band. The release of "When" in 1995, and "Yaakov's Quest" in 1996, both joined on a double mini-cd, clearly established the sound of The Semitones: fusion or crossover definitely metal orientated, mixed with various influences from Hardcore to jazz through progressive rock. The SemiTones is a wide open mind band, and their conception of the music can easily be compared with the mentality of bands such as Tool, Deftones, Faith No More, Korn, Living Color or Quicksand...
