about

The Sculptures are sisters Natalie (lead vocals) and Sarah Hawes (bass) joined by Nathan Lynch (guitars) and Jonathan Vallario (drums). Formed in 2007, The Sculptures are a young, energetic and currently unsigned band from the Inner West of Sydney, Australia. Since their conception, The Sculptures have already supported such local favourites as Short Stack, Calerway and The Mission in Motion. Lighting up stages around the Sydney scene, The Sculptures have played such illustrious venues as The Annandale Hotel, Spectrum Nightclub and Oxford Art Factory, winning fans with their unique heavy pop sound. Heavily influenced by new-wave, vintage pop and all flavours of tasty rock music. The band's creative dexterity to string together outlandish guitar parts, driving rhythms and lyrical hooks has fused these genres together in a modern, yet moody style. The Sculptures have been described as the lovechild of Karen O and Ozzy Osborne, a mixture of honest female vocals with a heavy rock guitar sensibility. Without doubt the band's aim is to take their heavy pop to the world... User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
