The Saucermen are an instrumental five-piece from Winnipeg, Canada, hell bent on world domination. Their music is most accurately described as "balls-out riff-rock". The band has chosen to forego vocals in favour of a more unique sound, focusing upon their intense live performances. By all accounts, they appear to have made the right choice. In the spring of 2004, the band recorded their debut, self-titled full-length CD. To date, the results have been truly impressive. They've received airplay on several mainstream rock radio stations here in Winnipeg, including a guest spot on Power 97's River City Rawk Show. The band has also found a home on university radio, most notably on UMFM and CKUW, where the band's disc spent a significant amount of time on each of their Top Ten charts.
