Featuring two distinct lead vocalists, Dave Kerrigan and Eddie Cave, The Richmond Group was a British teen R&B sextet and one of Liverpool's most exciting live acts around 1965. Their only single was an Italian release with vocals by Michael Allen: a cover of 'Trains and Boats and Planes', which had been a hit for Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas in May 1965. The Richmond Group also featured on the 1965 compilation LP 'Liverpool Today - Live at the Cavern'. These recordings were, in fact, not live recordings but studio cuts, with the DJ's voice and audience applause added later.
