"In a rural psychedelia, full of paisleys and flock, a young man sits and, upon every hour, twenty carriage clocks send their ball bearings buzzing. The young man is me. I am sitting over manuscript and scribbled artifact decyphering my thoughts from the scrawls of my past. I scratch a dry, straw-lake sideburn and send flakes of skin falling like a settling snow shaker. The papers i scrutinize are melodies and lyrics: songs from the past; songs that have been pitched to various bands that i have involved myself with; songs which, occasionally, were ill-suited to the material and style of said bands; songs which occasionally fell upon deaf ears. These songs are here for you now; this is The Richard Lamy Aspect." -Richard Lamy is an experienced session banjo and slide guitar player. He is currently one of main driving forces behind the bluesy dark countrybilly band The Lamy Brothers.
