The inspiration to form The Reversals was seeded while Nathanael Hubbard was working as a sound engineer with a number of successful Australian artists and producers. During this time, with exposure to great Australian talent, Nathanael was motivated to step out from behind the desk, pick up his instruments and focus on his true passions, song writing and live performance. Nathanael quickly engaged his long time music collaborator and drummer Scott Maynard (Mr Rascal) and bass and trumpet player Scott Bignell (Cheap Fakes) creating the first incarnation of The Reversals. The Reversals subsequently released their debut single (featuring guest guitarists 8 Ball Aitken and Brendan Leggatt) which played on Triple J and had an audience with some high profile Australians. In 2012 the band expanded its line-up with two more exceptional musicians, Matthew Green (remember seven) and Patrick Gundersen (Abi Tucker). During this time they played with bands such as Hungary Kids of Hungary and The Boat People, as well as a number of festivals including Greenfest, Grass Roots Music Festival and Rock For Refugees. 2013 will see the release of the long awaited debut album from The Reversals. Co-produced by Nathanael and award winning engineer/producer Jefferson, the album is a lush mix of memorable songs that will take you on a journey encountering relationships and reflections on modern society. With the writing of the second album already under way, 2013 looks to be a promising one for
