The Resource Centre Series project was conceived by John Hanson, who having worked over a number of years within the educational field, chromatically archived educational instruments and recorded them in a venue designed for music classes. Music by The Resource Centre is largely without beats with the emphasis on harmony and composition. The music often involves variations in rhythmic patterns and created partially from automatic and generative systems that make use of sounds from predominantly mallet instruments. The sounds are processed electronically, creating simple and beautiful musical forms. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
