Representing Orange County, California, and originally from Chicago,Illinois,The Renegadez have been producing and writing since 1997. The Renegadez consist of Ricky Parham II a.k.a. Rikanatti and Ramone Johnson a.k.a. Young Cashis. They began seriously working on their craft in 1999 after taking a 1 year break from music due to legal problems. During that same year, The Renegadez took another devastating blow, the shooting death of the third original member, Monique Johnson. Who was also the wife of Ramone a.k.a.Young Cashis of The Renegadez. In the year 2000, they began working on their first underground release titled Renegeddon. Which was a local success. Upon completion of recording the "Renegeddon" project, Young Cashis became incarcerated for various robberies and probation violations. The album received street love, but The Renegadez had to cancel most of their early performances due the untimely incarceration of Ramone. The Renegadez eventually posted the $65,000 bail and Ramone was released and the group was able to begin performing again. Unfortunately, doing the beginning stages of recording "Watch Closely" Ramone was sentenced. Rikanatti began designing the sound for the Renegadez and perfecting his craft during the time when his comrade was sentenced. Through numerous visits and phone conversations, the concept of Watch Closely was conceived. Thus, bringing forth the Renegade sound.
