The Redundant Rocker, also known as Bernhard Wöstheinrich of Centrozoon, aims to converge the best and worst of the last 50 years of popular music. Wöstheinrich chose the name for his solo project after he realized his beats and rhythms were always the first to disappear in most remixes of Centrozoon's work. Without the restraint of Centrozoon's live, just-in-time improvisational style, The Redundant Rocker produces complex and layered music ranging from ambient to funk rock, always with a decidedly electronic touch.
