The Reduction Agents

Hailing from New Zealand, The Reduction agents are a four piece indie/folk/pop band lead by frontman James Milne. Formed in 2003, their debut album, released in 2006, was nominated for several Bnet awards, as was Milne's solo album of the same year, recorded and titled under the pseudo of Lawrence Arabia. Milne has previously toured as bassist for Okkervil River, and in 2007, with The Brunettes, for whom he contributed 'You Beautiful Militant', a track which featured on their Mars Loves Venus album. He also has written and produced music for theatre and film; in fact all four members are involved in other projects, Ryan McPhun forming part of The Ruby Suns, Jolyon Mulholland in Gasoline Cowboy, and Eldridge is a core member of the Heavy Jones Trio. The Cool Of The Pool and 80's Celebration featured in the Taika Waititi (also known as Taika Cohen) film Eagle vs Shark.
