The Red Queen Effect formed in 1995 (under a different name) in El Paso, TX and have been playing shows ever since their inception. TRQE have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Six Feet Under, Otep, Haste the Day, Twelve Tribes, Bury Your Dead, The Red Chord, Caliban, Ringworm and many many more. With influences ranging from Deftones,The Beatles, Dredg, Meshuggah, Between The Buried and Me, Faith No More, Candiria, Thrice, Elliott, Sigur Ros and a slew of others-the music has become a diverse brand of deathmetalcore with atmospheric passages laced with larynx ripping vibrato vocals. 11 years, 3 band names and several lineup changes later-TRQE is much stronger, creative and ready to do what means most to them; Make music and tour as much as possible... and with a new EP recorded at Love Juice Labs-Tempe, AZ (As I Lay Dying, Horse The Band, Scary Kids Scaring Kids) they plan on doing just that. After 11 years and seeing tons of bands come and go-it's apparent that this means more than just making "cool" music... It's about making music that actually means something to people...
