Ottawa pop-punk has been through a lot in the past few years. Bands have come and gone, venues have changed, and support has wavered. Yet despite the turbulence and uncertainty, one thing has stayed the same; The Record Set wants to unite the kids and rock the Capital. Lofty goals considering the band has only been together a short time and has already experienced minor line-up changes. With three of the band’s members hailing from Ottawa's east end, and the fourth owning modest roots in a small Northern Ontario town, The Record Set has been dialing numbers and emailing strangers in hopes of booking shows in the dirtiest bars and sketchiest towns. Travelling in vans or renting trailers are but little annoyances for this foursome of wholesome young men as they search for the bottom of every bottle and the warmth within your hearts.
