The Quadraphonnes hail from Portland, OR. They began playing traditional modern compositions for sax quartet, but the drive to break preconceptions of what a sax quartet is capable of, led them to start writing and arranging new music for the group. Their album, Get the Funk Out!, is all about New Orleans second line, Latin rock, punchy pop, modern Jazz, gritty soul & fierce vocals! It is a reflection of their many influences including: Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, Santana, Bootsy Collins, Lauryn Hill & Parliament.
