the pulsar triyo is a North Carolinian modern jazz piano trio. They began in 2004 after a Duke Jazz Ensemble rehearsal. Pulsar Li (keys) and Eric Bishop (drums and cymbals) wanted to add jazz to some of the pop songs on the radio. This is when the proverbial light bulb was lit. Adam Lord (bass) joined after he met Eric at a pit orchestra gig. During their tenure, the group performed on and off campus throughout central NC. - Won UNC/Duke Battle of the bands in '04 and '06. - Recorded and released three albums. - Got to play with some really cool cats both local and international. Unfortunately the triyo leaves their recordings, fans, and fond memories as their legacy after closing shop in 2007.
