The Pulsar was formed in St. Petersburg in 1996. For the starting point of their research musicians took the creativity of the EBM classics, such as Front 242 and Front Line Assembly. Due to the low popularity of hard electronic music in Russia and the "dark" culture in general, The Pulsar remained in the shadow until 2005. The band gained fame after the release of the album "Awakening" on Advoxya records. Starting from this time, the group actively participates and collaborates with other bands. From now on, the band actively participates and collaborates with other bands. The Pulsar performed on the same stage with such famous Russian and European bands as Haujobb and Colony 5, AlteraForma and Wavefall. They took part in various festivals. At the moment, The Pulsar has moved rather far from the style with which it began its own creative path and the musicians themselves can not give an exact stylistic definition of their music.
