Artist
Their music sounds like it should. It has choruses, verses, harmonic singing, occasional instrumental passages and melodic "hooks." Whenever possible, modern and even classical poetic devices have been used to make the lyrical content appealing to teen-aged ears. These include abba rhyme schemes, simile, metaphor and even alliterative verse form. Thematically the music contains many novel devices; The band explores ideas about modern alienation, existential crises, a rogues gallery of outsiders and outcasts, yes, even an occasional anti-hero. Furthermore, the music contains elements of many contemporary ideas incorporating dissonance, assonance, polyrhythm, joyous angelic harmonies and orgiastic guitar-based histrionics. The members of the band constitute a motley assortment of the dispossessed, down and out, and socially retarded products all of repressed North-American counter-culture, who tend towards expressing their isolationist angst through barely-controlled bursts of wild bacchanalian decadence. Coming up from the losing side of the poverty line, their influences tend to include things thought of as disposable by polite society; Pulp detective fiction, low-budget horror films, comic books, cheeseburgers, late night radio talk shows. They have created a world of their own, and peopled it with reflections of the nobler sides of our base nature.
