The Proov represents Hip Hop, from a jazzy, dusty, funk feel to electro resonance. There’s MC Gumshoe, the energenic one. The vortex when it comes to ideas. There’s MC CeeMajor, that laid back dude. The raw funk extortioner. On their excursions they are joined by the funky producers Colt & L.Geronimo & the magnificent DJ Optimus. Currently recording the album ‘Off-The-Cuff’, set for release in the spring of 2011. More: CeeMajor (Cor Giesing, 1975) founded The Proov together with a couple of residents from Leeuwarden (NL). The Proov dispersed a bit in 2001 and consists nowadays of the MC's Cee Major & Gumshoe (Sven Willemsen, 1977) plus DJ SDub (Sander Schalk, 1977). The Proov no longer travels with a complete live band, but represents on the old school tip - with mics and turntables. They work closely together with producers Colt & L.Geronimo.
