Started as an adjunct joke band to Red20 in 2004, a mini album "Loaves of Rage" was recorded (most of the songs written by Alastair Turl, with contributions from his Red20 bandmate, Andrew Hawnt) and released on the Internet for free. A cover of "Notorious" by Duran Duran was included, and a music video for this track, along with "Emergency Service" were filmed. Later that year, a handful more tracks were recorded and distributed online - they were part of the album-that-never-was, "King Of The Whirled". Two years later (2006), a handful of tracks were again recorded for an album, and some of these were made available online, but nothing came of it. In September 2008, after completion of the latest Red20 album was announced, a 'proper' Priest album was announced to be in the making on Alastair's Livejournal.
