The Positions are a six piece band from Washington DC. The band was started in 2002 by Ivan Ramiscal, formerly of DC indiepop band Barcelona, and is fronted by Nicole Stoops, who also handles the vocals in NYC-based band Charming. Bassist Armin Pruessner and drummer Reid Dossinger have also contributed to Sprites. The Positions have released their first album, Bliss!, in 2005, and have been featured on several compilations, including contributing a cover of "Every Conversation" to Still Unravished - A Tribute to The June Brides. Their new 6-song mini album, Tonight, was released in June of 2010. The website of the The Positions is www.the-positions.com.
