Became One Hundred People in November of 2009. Starting as a joke between members Brad Heineman and Dean Cantrell as a Led Zeppelin cover band to pass long summer days, The Pitchmen (named on the day of the late Billy Mays' passing as a tribute) slowly gained rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Clint Spotts, vocalist/songwriter Aaron Butts and later bassist Patrick Young to become a full-fledged pop/rock group. Recording in Dean's basement, the band spend most of their time together jamming, coming up with new ideas or attempting covers. Main songwriters are Clint and Dean, though musical ideas come from all five members. Each member has a separate favorite band or biggest influence: Aaron's is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Brad's is Led Zeppelin, Clint's is The Beatles, Dean's is Rilo Kiley and Patrick's is probably Paramore. Though that is currently unknown. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
