Artist
Born in Sheffield sometime in the last century Rick is veteran of many bands. Bands like the SILENT BLUE with MARKUS HOLLER and future members of his band GREEN TAMBOURINES. The 'Tambourines gigged a lot around London but never made it onto vinyl. That break came in 1992 when Rick was signed to Chrysalis Records and his new band, ORANGE, released the Judy Over The Rainbow EP, a Beatles tinged classic that should have been massive. After torteous recording sessions at Rockfield with Gus Dudgeon the band went so far over budget that the record label dropped them. The band split. In 1996 JVC Records of Japan signed Rick and he recorded a full album for this label. JVC then went bust (what rotten luck again) and the album languished in the vaults until a few years ago when Bill Forsyth of Minus Zero Records somehow heard the tapes and the album finally saw the light of day. The reviews were ecstatic and the CD sold well mainly in the USA, Spain and Japan. Rick then formed a small band with former bandmate Markus Holler and his partner Maria Callaghan and the trio have played a number of well received shows.
