There are multiple artists named The Offbeats: 1) Texas garage rock band, 2) New Zealand ska/punk/reggae band, 3) Michigan hardcore punk/ska band, 4) Pennsylvanian collegiate a capella group, 5) The Offbeats were a punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, active from 1981 to 1987. 1) San Antonio, Texas, United States (2001 - present) The Offbeats is a garage rock, garage punk and pop band formed in 2001, with their current lineup consisting of Eric Romasanta (bass), Bryan Foster (vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass), Sean Foster (guitar), and Colin Foster (drums). In 2008, their debut album, Standards, was released, consisting mainly of reworked older songs. In 2011, they released their second album, Lights Out In the City, to local critical appeal. In 2012, the band released a 5-track EP titled F. 2) Wellington, New Zealand (1994 - present) The Offbeats were formed in 1994 and have performed at the 1995 and 1996 New Zealand Ska Festivals (alongside Skapa, The Managers, the Screaming Orgasms and Looney Tunes) and the 1998 Ska Wars at The Powerstation. They have also appeared at Sweetwaters '99. The Offbeats are an eight piece (including three piece horn section) ska/punk/reggae act renowned for their energetic and extreme live performances. The Offbeats play throughout New Zealand and have toured Australia twice, most recently over the 2002/2003 summer.
