The New York Howl is a New York rock band that played their own brand of self-titled "Blue-Eyed Soul". They get their influences from a wide range of musics, such as soulful, uplifting gospel to punk energy to classic rhythm-and-blues, to jazz, to garage rock. They formed in the summer of 2005. Their debut album, "People Will Come To See Us Ride" was self-released in the summer of '06. They've toured the north-east coast with the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, and toured southern England in the summer of '06. Their members are Andrew Katz (guitar, lead vocals), Brer Brian (organ, guitar, vocals), Stefan Zeniuk (baritone sax) and Adam Amram (drums).
