The New Tragic was a post-hardcore band from Ocala, Florida, United States. The New Tragic were a short lived sextet who, as of November 2006 broke up following the previous departure of co vocalist Dallas Taylor(Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster, previous Underoath) and eventual departure of bassist Don Arthur(Cute Is What We Aim For). The bands Myspace was deleted and is now taken up by an unknown band which has no relation besides the name. The New Tragic recorded three known songs which were They Don't Make Hallmark Cards For Moments Like This, You're So Jazz Face and A Half Cocked Smile And Two Guns Blazin'. Phil, Dallas and Gideon grew up together in Ocala, Florida and have played in multiple bands together over the years. Phil was the writer and lead vocalist/screamer in From First To Last.
